Stepping Out of my Comfort Zone | OOTD

Over the last few months, I’ve really got into fashion. I see clothes and I get super excited! It’s got to the point where my wardrobe is jam-packed and I wouldn’t be surprised if the rail falls down. I thought I would share an ‘outfit of the day’ post as I’ve been loving these recently. I also love this outfit so I couldn’t not share it with you! My parents kept roasting me and laughing at me all day, really not sure why…

This is the outfit I wore today. It’s the day after Bank Holiday Monday so we all decided to go and have a carvery and then look around IKEA and B&Q. I’m sure you all know by now that I love a good roast! I had more fun than I should’ve in IKEA; I found a chair that my trousers were identical to so I decided to do a disappearing act, and I was running around (well, carefully) the bit where all of the flat-pack furniture is pretending I was trying to get to Platform 9¾!

Here’s a full outfit picture – it was definitely out of my comfort zone! My trainers do not match (I know) but they’re super comfy and I’m in the process of getting some new ones. They are my pink superstars – very easy to pair with anything!

My top is from New Look – I can’t link it because it’s about 4 years old! It’s just a normal white t-shirt (you can get these from anywhere really) and I tucked it into my culottes. I wore a denim jacket over the top. I bought this denim jacket last year from H&M and it’s such good quality! It hasn’t faded in the wash, it’s comfortable to wear, and it pulls lots of outfits together.

I’ve recently discovered culottes and I LOVE them! They’re so comfortable! I have pretty slim legs so I didn’t really want to make my legs look huge. However, culottes are very flattering on anybody (in my opinion anyway). These are from Primark and they were £8! I cannot find the link (Primark’s website is not the best), you should be able to find them with all of the other trousers in there. I have another pair of culottes and I think they are going to be perfect for the summer when it’s too hot to wear jeans but too cold to wear shorts.

(p.s. excuse the fact that my legs are a different colour to my arms – I’m in the process of fake tanning (for the first time) and I did my legs a few days ago, but I haven’t tanned my arms or anywhere else yet!)

I wore my Pandora bracelet too; I wear this most days! Let me know if you would like an in-depth post on all of the charms.

I dutch-braided the top of my hair too! I don’t do this very often as it makes my hair look cray-z. I’ve literally just noticed that the hair bobbles were two different shades of brown. I think I should get myself some clear elastics! I’m terrible at explaining how to do things, but I basically started my hair off like I was doing a dutch plait (watch a video on youtube if you don’t know how to do these) and stopped when I reached the back of my head. I was surprisingly impressed with how it turned out and how I managed to do it first time!

It was a bit overcast in the morning but as it brightened up throughout the day, I put my sunglasses on! I bought these sunglasses last year from Primark. Primark is my go-to place for cheap sunglasses; I always lose them or wreck them so I don’t see the point in buying expensive ones!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you want to see more OOTDs, I would love to do more in the summer.

Hope you are enjoying your week so far! Where is your favourite place to shop for clothes?

Lots of love,

Alex

xx
